The Isolde necklace features a wire-wrapped tourmalinated quartz pear-shaped briolette, a clear natural stone with black tourmaline needles and rusty-coloured inclusions, which have formed in the crystal. The quartz is topped with clusters of faceted gemstones in soft, neutral grey and tawny tones with little flashes of iridescent blue: rainbow moonstones, labradorite, andalusite, grey quartz, silverite and more tourmalinated quartz, along with some tiny silver pearls; all hanging from a hammered silver circle. The chain is formed of hand-wired faceted tourmalinated quartz beads which closes with a handmade silver hook clasp.
The whole piece has been oxidised to a dark patina, to contrast with the pale stones and give it a bit of an edgy look.
The chain measures 50cm (20") and the pendant measures 4.5cm (1.75") from the top of the ring to the bottom of the briolette. This piece has been hallmarked by the Birmingham Assay Office in accordance with UK law governing the sale of precious metals.
