Bubbles

Bubbles

Bubbles is one of my favourite bracelets and I have to admit it will be hard to part with her - these beads are fabulous -four chunky lampwork glass creations with cores of swirling violet-lavender- purple-pink and golden-yellow-orange tones encased in bubbling clear glass plus two deep violet encased glass discs - made by UK glass artist Susan Lawson. To create the bracelet I've wired the beads on silver and linked them with my own handmade hammered silver rings. The piece closes with an oversized handmade silver hook clasp, which can be hooked into any one of the silver rings to create a bracelet to fit your wrist. All the metal I've used is sterling or fine silver and all components have been handmade by me, tumbled for strenght and shine. The bracelet is hallmarked on the hook clasp with my makers' mark (AP), the Birmingham Assay Office anchor mark and the 925 fineness mark, which is your guarantee that the silver is of sterling quality (at least 92.5% silver). I've kept this piece clean and simple, without the characteristic gem clusters of some of my other pieces, but I could not resist just one faceted chalcedony heart briolette in a deep royal purple colour, which dangles from one of the silver rings. This bracelet measures around 10" (25cm) in total but is fully adjustable to fit a wrist from 7-8.5".
