Blooms Necklace

Blooms Necklace

**This bracelet will be on sale in the new Library of Birmingham shop from 3 September.**

Blooms is a necklace full of soft, subtle hints of colour, with lampwork glass nuggets swirling with cream and deeper hints of buttery yellow, creamy pearls, pale yellow citrine and little spots of deeper colour in the form of multi-toned Kenyan sapphires in warm pink, apricot, mauve and deep red. The necklace is formed of a handwired chain. The centre section of the chain features the three lampwork beads, embellished with clusters of centre-drilled cream keishi pearls, each wired on a single headpin, along with a tiny sapphire gemstone. All together these clusters look like flowers. Between the clusters I've included some faceted citrine rondelles to add a bit of sparkle. The rest of the chain is formed of more citrines and creamy potato pearls and closes with a handmade hook clasp. The necklace has been hallmarked by the Birmingham Assay office with my makers mark, the Anchor for Birmingham and .925 which is your guarantee of the quality of the silver.
The necklace measures 19" and has a 2.5" extension chain. It can be shortened if necessary. When I was making this necklace it was not consciously made as a bridal piece, but it would be perfect for a bride planning a rustic, woodland or boho theme for her wedding.
